Historical theatrical productions, The Courageous Four and Freedom Riders will be held at Colgan High School starting at 7 p.m. The Courageous Four is an original script that uncovers the story of the first four African-American teachers—Zella Brown, Maxine Coleman, Fannie W. Fitzgerald and Mary G. Porter — selected to integrate the Prince William County Public Schools faculties by being re-assigned to all-white elementary schools. Freedom Riders is a one-act play set in 1961, as two female Harvard students debate joining the Freedom Rides.

Underground Railroad: Network to Freedom exhibit

Visitors of the Underground Railroad: Network to Freedom exhibit will learn about Leesylvania State Park’s rich and diverse history. Associated with the flight of runaway slaves the Leesylvania property will offer displays and exhibitions illustrating their inclusion in the underground railroad. This exhibit is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

With four separate ranges (varying from 25 to 100 yards), a simulator training room, a cafe and two lounges, Elite Shooting Sports offers a safe environment to practice your shooting skills and relieve some stress. The range is open to the public from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. (new shooters will be required to go through a brief orientation class).
