Historic Hot Spots
It’s hard to miss the 210 steel foot mass as you’re driving by on I-95, but the architecture of National Museum of the Marine Corps is just one of the unique features about this attraction. With free admission and parking, the NMMC is an affordable and convenient (just off the interstate) visit for veterans. The museum tells a narrative history of the role of the Marine Corps in shaping America as veterans explore exhibits and galleries, each one telling a different chapter of our past. Be sure to check out the ‘Leatherneck Gallery’, which features four famous aircrafts that were vital to Marine Corps missions.

Engage in Civil War history at Manassas National Battlefield Park, the site of the First and Second Battles of Manassas/Bull Run. Walking trails and guided ranger tours take you through cannon lined paths and scenic fields where brothers and neighbors once fought.  The Visitor Center Museum holds artifacts that have been found throughout the years. The historic Stone House is a must see, as it served as a make-shift hospital during the war.

The brews are made from organic and locally sourced ingredients, which have quickly made them a famous name in the craft brewery scene. Each patriotic pint – from ‘The Teddy’ to ‘The American Expedition’- is a uniquely American experience that will be the perfect setting to reconnect.
