Rainy Day Activities
What to do on a Rainy Day in Prince William & Manassas
We are big fans of the many outdoor activities available in Prince William & Manassas. Whether you choose to visit battlefields, explore parks, or spend time along the Occoquan River or Potomac River, we have it all. A rainy day every now and then is unavoidable, but you shouldn’t let the weather rain on your parade. We cannot control the weather, but we do have some great rainy day alternatives:
Go Shopping at Potomac Mills
Potomac Mills is the DC area’s largest outlet mall. With over 200 stores under one roof, this is the perfect destination for a rainy day. In addition to great stores with huge discounts, Potomac Mills also has an AMC movie theater with IMAX and some great restaurants including The Cheesecake Factory and Bahama Breeze. Have a large group? The more the merrier at Potomac Mills! Everyone can split up to do their own thing during the day and then meet up for dinner to discuss the great deals and amazing finds. Got kids? Potomac Mills has a kid’s play area with comfortable seating so that everyone can enjoy their day at the mall.
Bounce Around at Rebounderz
Who says you can only be active outdoors? If you had your heart set on doing something fun with your kids that would help release some of that extra energy, then Rebounderz is the perfect place to visit. Rebounderz is a huge indoor trampoline arena. The arena has 16,000 square feet of trampolines as well as trampoline jumpers that will have you bouncing off the walls. Have a larger group? You can play a game of trampoline basketball or air dodgeball to make sure everyone is included!
Visit the National Museum of the Marine Corps
If you are interested in some of the historical and educational attractions in Prince William & Manassas, then the National Museum of the Marine Corps is a fantastic option. Even if it rains all day, you can easily fill up your time at this beautiful and modern museum. If you are interested in Civil War history, then you will love the Civil War displays at this museum. Experience the Civil War and other major events from United States history through the perspective of the Marines. With interactive exhibits and video presentations, this museum is great for both children and adults.
